Please promote players who are active in the mornings (eastern)

I am concerned that this morning there was no staff on for, at the time of writing, an hour and a half beginning at around 8:00am eastern. At this time there is still no staff online, but there are 4 outsiders. (At this point in wrting I checked to see who was on and saw little had joined.) In addition, I have been waiting to speak with a mod about suspected xray. I had already been in 2 arguements about it, admittedly. This kinnd of thing has been regular, but has not been this bad in a while. Please do something.

Update: After posting the thread I went back to playing only to find little had left and 2 outsiders were still on.

Maz is sometimes on at around this time.

Update: It has been 2 hours so far. Other than little's brief log on, there has yet to be staff. About 7 outsiders have come and gone, and there are 17 players online.

Operative word being "sometimes".

I agree too, it's getting to a point where we are powerless, we can direct players to site, we can make a petition for a ban etc ... but after that, we are powerless. There have been arguments where I have stepped in and it's died down a bit, but there are also times when a player swears.

yes the other day there was this new guy who was swearing and being cruel and we couldnt do anything about it and he had left before a mod came on

The most annoying thing is when a mod IS on, and another mod comes, sees that theres staff on, and leaves. This is unfair and it often bothers the mod that was left behind.

Also, its going on 3 hours staff-free, ignoring the 3 minutes little was on. There are 19 players on.

I agree with russ, most staff see someone is on and log off. I know they have other things to do, possibly, but maybe help out the lone staff member for a bit? We help out as much as we can.

Guys I try to be on as much as I can. myself i try to get on in the morning but sometimes i can't. Also if there is a problem remember you can /pe open and jigs or any other staff can help. But staff sometimes has other stuff to do and we can't be on 24/7 365 and if you have a problem please ask jigs or any staff. I'm just saying that the staff has a life and can't be on all the time

We understand that, I for one tried to get on every morning, whenever I could when I was a staff member. It is hard to keep track of things, I do understand that. But at the same time, for me, it wasn't hard. This is the summer holidays, we have time on our hands (most of us), we just need one staff member on at the times when there are none.

What also is a possible "danger" is the fact that we can get spammers, players who swear, players who grief, on at times when there are no staff on, and even if we post a petition, they don't HAVE to leave, do they? They will continue to annoy us, insult us and our server. I myself have made many petitions asking for players to be banned when I see them behaving incredibly immature (i.e swearing, spamming, caps, etc .. ) and all times I have had to wait until they could be banned. We need someone on during this time.

I disagree. There should be at least 1 mod on at all times. If there are more than 10 non-staff, there should be no less than 1 mod per 10 nonstaff (rounded UP to the nearest 10).

There is still no staff. There have been around 10 outsiders, and there are currently 20 players online.

I understand that it's hard to be on in the mornings, but thats what this suggestion is about, aquiring staff who CAN get on at that time. I have expierinced alot of times where outsiders came in swearing and spamming and we could only ignore them..

Here is an idea i got from a server on another game. There were Admins and moderators much like we have now, but on that server there was another sorta "staff" class called Server Watcher that had very limited abilities but were very useful when admins and moderators weren't online. I think the only power they had was the ability to kick. They didn't get any special privileges, they just kicked people when they were being a problem.

This could be a possible solution because we have a lot of moderators already. Tho, i can already see problems implementing this into Minecraft....

Give Titans/Legends ability to check apps?

What I meant by this, was there should always be at least 1 staff member on. That's what I meant by it xD

I think that is a good idea Sadderday. At least Titans should be able to check apps, after all you are voted in by staff. The outsiders would at least be able to start building and get a start until a staff member logs on.

I don't think more Staff members are the Issue. People need to realize this is a game and sometimes a Staff member may not be online. Everyone has a life, I hope at least, and not every issue can be resolved in at that exact moment. The whole point of the /PE system is for this reason! It takes time for issues to be resolved.

I still feel more people should be able to check applications at least and promote outsders to citizens.

I was just saying, i think people who get the rank of titan or legend should know what to look for in an app. I think they would be capable of checking an app and ranking to citizen. I'm not saying give them permission to rank to miner/farmer/warrior. But at least can handle the outsider>citizen transition when there's no mods online. Titans and Legends i think have proven that they want the server to thrive and that we do care about the server so we're not looking to let trolls in.
